This explains what Thryll collects, how we use it and the choices you have. Thryll is in private beta; this policy will be updated before public launch.
What we collect
Account details: your name or nickname, email address and password (when you add them), age confirmation, settings, Support ID and who invited you.
What you tell us: the things you share about yourself, your conversations with characters, reactions, photo requests and anything you send to support.
Device and usage information: device type, browser, time zone, IP address, pages used, and timing and performance data.
Purchases (once available): plan, payment status and token history. Card details are handled by our payment processor; we don't store full card numbers.
How we use it
To run Thryll: generating replies and photos, remembering your conversations, tracking relationship progress and tokens, and keeping your account secure.
To improve Thryll: reviewing and analyzing conversations and usage, and developing, training and evaluating the AI models, characters and features we use. You can turn this off (see Your choices).
For safety: detecting and reviewing messages that suggest risk of harm, illegal activity or misuse, and enforcing our Terms.
To support and contact you: answering reports, sending service messages, and sending updates or offers, which you can opt out of.
AI training and review
AI training and review is on by default. You can turn it off any time at Me → Settings.
When it's off, your conversations aren't used to train or improve our AI and aren't reviewed by our team, except when a conversation is flagged for: risk of self-harm or suicide, threats of harm to others, anything involving minors, sexual content involving animals, other illegal activity, or when we're required to by law. Flagged conversations can always be reviewed.
Who we share it with
Service providers who help us run Thryll, such as hosting, AI model providers, image generation, email delivery, analytics and payment processing. They may only use it to provide their services to us.
Business transfers: if Thryll or its owner is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization or sale of all or part of its business or assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Legal and safety: when we believe it's required by law, or needed to protect someone's safety, prevent fraud or abuse, or protect our rights.
With your permission, or in aggregated or de-identified form that doesn't identify you.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open and as long as needed for the purposes above. Deleting a chat removes it from your account. Deleting your account removes your profile, chats, memories and tokens. Safety reports, records we must keep by law, and backups for a limited time may remain.
Your choices
At Me you can edit what characters know about you, turn AI training and character messages on or off, delete chats or your chat history, and delete your account.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your information. Email support@thryll.net with your Support ID.
Adults only
Thryll is for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 and delete accounts we learn belong to minors.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, such as encryption in transit and limited staff access. No system is perfectly secure.
Changes
We may update this policy. We'll post the new version here and, for important changes, let you know in the app. Using Thryll after an update means you accept it.
